IVT Global News agency-Russia and India relationship

American sanctions are losing their impact.

India has joined in supporting the so-called sanctions imposed against Iran, now paying a heavy price. India is losing money by paying high prices for everything India was buying from Iran, at much higher prices. The irony of this episode is that America imposed sanctions and India is paying the price for that. India has to start doing business with Iran and save its money until America compensates for the loss India incurred.

And, India has learned a lesson and is now changing the track by accepting a new foreign policy.

The arrival of the Russian foreign minister with a new deal to sell oil to India at the rate of $35 per barrel, which was the pre-Ukraine war rate, is tempting for India because the rate now touches $110/barrel. Thus, the arrival of the rupee-rouble payment system, surpassing the Brussels-based SWIFT transaction junction, worries America. If anyone helps any nation that America is at war with, then they will slap sanctions on them. When anyone helps Russia do business again, the American section calls for their heads. This two-edged sword has become a threat to sovereign nations when they set their foreign policies.

Why are other countries imposing sanctions on America?

Because Europe is America's tail, the west and America always unite, while the Asians and the Africans are regarded as outsiders. This trend has brought America and Europe closer while Asian nations and Africans existed as divided homes. This trend in Asia and Africa has given an edge to Europeans and Americans in dictating these nations.

When America invaded Iraq with the excuse of WMD, not a single Middle East nation joined Iraq to fight the invaders, while Europe and America united to invade. This lack of unity taught them a lesson and now a few nations learned the importance of unity and how to win the world.

Russia, being the sole superpower, which can challenge NATO, along with China, has now positioned itself as the challenger to the American scheme of taking Ukraine into the NATO fold to grab the Ukrainian ports and airports to position its missiles against Russia from Ukraine soil and monitor Russian military movements from the border of Russia, which provoked this Russian war on Ukraine today.

While America expected India to stand behind it when the sanctions against Russia were imposed, India defied the diktat. According to India, it was America that tried to encroach closer to the Russian border, it is not Russia that moved to the American border. Creating disruptions in Asia and in other regions is the actual business of NATO nations, which is doing so in order to maintain the reason for the existence of NATO, which has lost its significance to this day.

But now, surpassing the warning of America, India chose to abstain from the UN resolution and vote against Russia, with a note that the war should end and both Ukraine and Russia should find a solution through diplomacy. This stand taken by India confirmed in front of the international community that it has got its own business to do. At the same time, India cannot ignore Russia as Russia was India's true partner when it landed in wars with its neighbor, even when America sent its seventh naval fleet to the Bay of Bengal.

The Indian nuclear weapons and the plants were given by Russia, and India made its first nuclear bomb. After the detonation of the first nuclear bomb in Pokhran, it was America and other European nations that imposed sanctions on India, even for selling any critical parts of the bomb or military hardware was not permitted. During all those days, it was Russia that supported India, both through the UN and by helping India get access to military hardware.

By buying oil on rupee-rouble terms, India wants to retain and help Russia when it lands in the web of sanctions. India can buy all the oil and store it for an emergency since this oil is coming at the lowest rate. This will give Russia a lot of relief as well.

A friend in need is a friend indeed. That is the theory of Indian practices now. India will help Russia buy its oil to help Russia fight this economic crisis. This policy helped India too. The arrival of the Chinese foreign minister after a log jam on the Ladakh border was actually sent by Russia when Putin talked to Xi-Ping. Now, a new axis is forming with Russia, China, and India. If it materializes, India will get its lost lands back, and a new axis against NATO will be formed. And it is good for India too.
